Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is probably the best in Grasmere, perfectly situated in the heart of the village. The rooms, although clean and spacious, are a bit tired and could use some attention. The service was friendly but had some lapses. Dining met our needs but could have been more substantial overall.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were excellent, with a comfortable seating area and a small terrace beside the river, but the cleaning service was lacking. The location was great, right in the center of things and close to walking routes, but there were issues with parking. The service was friendly and welcoming, but there were no security measures in place at night. Overall, it felt more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located in Grasmere, just off the beaten path, ideal for exploring the Lake District. It offers personalized service with some room for improvement. The dining experience, while flavorful, has room for enhancement. The surroundings are picturesque, but there are some inconveniences with the facilities.
